Meet Alexia…

A seasoned external affairs specialist who delivers high impact strategies driven by cause.

Alexia has 20 years of experience in External Affairs and Business Development in the entertainment, nonprofit and political sectors. Born in Los Angeles, and raised in a humble single mother led household, Alexia learned the importance of giving back, which is where the genesis of launching her own firm began. She is passionate about uplifting her community as someone who benefitted from organizations that allowed her to thrive as a child and live a choice-filled life. This led her to a career in social good/impact and launching Goodness Sake Strategies.

Alexia’s international purview into different fields often finds her in roles as a strategic advisor to entertainment executives, business leaders, elected officials, and philanthropic organizations, including HBCUs and Civil Rights Leaders’ legacies.

Alexia had the privilege to learn about the importance of Equity and giving back to your community. Her mentor and former boss and artist Prince showcased and demonstrated the many ways with actions and being a constant advocate to open doors for others, creating opportunity pipelines for those underrepresented or without a network to build upon (like Alexia) by investing time, skills, coaching, and visibility. While being a music manager, she simultaneously worked pro bono to fill the gaps that were preventing many nonprofits in Los Angeles from achieving real change or growth.

After transitioning out of the Entertainment Industry, she became a fundraiser at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles where she led new initiatives to tap into new sectors of business to generate dollars for the hospital. She developed fundraising campaigns and strategies, working with celebrities, sports teams, and different affinity groups etc to save the lives of the children in need with families who could  not afford specialized pediatric care. Following her role at CHLA, she led External Relations at KIPP SoCal where she was responsible for development, bilingual strategic communications, focused on advocacy and community development for the  ‘20 Schools by 2020’ campaign, where she led a talented team of dedicated changemakers.

Today, Alexia applies her skill set and strategic abilities to raise capital, negotiate community driven outcomes, creating pipeline opportunities through relationship building and experiential marketing, brand matchmaking to effectively create a sustainable impact. The common denominator in Alexia’s career is equity. From advocating and negotiating for artists to receive their rightful share of profits, launching the first music streaming service before the term-existed, or creating a corporate social responsibility approach for a business to give back to their local under-resourced communities – Alexia closes the gaps and provides her clients with results, all while leveraging strategic PR opportunities to create moments that lead to change thanks to her roots in publicity.

Alexia graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in English and is the President of Zeppelin's fan-club.
